In 2015 The New-York Historical Society showcased an exhibit of rare technology from the birth of the computer age. IBM and other technology companies were based in and around the Northeast at the time, much of the revolution was focused in New York City.
Researching for the project I found an old circuit board image supplied by NYHS that reminded me of city streets. I had them dig through their archives to find multiple vintage overhead views of NYC, chose the best one, and combined it with the circuit board image. Finally, directing other designers to create the print and digital assets for online banners, digital signage, and other outdoor advertising.
The campaign was received with excitement and the exhibit was a success.
